Quadrophenia is the name of several stage musicals based on the 1973 studio double-album Quadrophenia by the Who. This album also spawned a 1979 movie of the same name.

Luna C Productions, USA

In November 2005, Luna C Productions staged a theatrical version of Quadrophenia in Los Angeles, starring Stephen Shareaux as Jimmy. Additional performances were produced in March and November 2006.

The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, UK

In February 2007, students from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama staged an independent theatrical production of Quadrophenia at the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff, Wales, with the blessing of Pete Townshend.

Critchley & Young, UK

The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama production was later reworked and expanded by director Tom Critchley and playwright Jeff Young. With a new ensemble, this show went on a successful full-scale tour in the UK, with the first performance taking place at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth, in May 2009.

The four aspects of Jimmy were played by Ryan O’Donnell, Rob Kendrick, Jack Roth and George Maguire.

For his role in Quadrophenia, Ryan O’Donnell was nominted for a 2009 TMA Theatre Award in the category Best Peformance in a Musical.

NK Theatre Arts, UK

In 2013, NK Theatre Arts in Romiley near Manchester produced the world amateur premier of the show, with permission from Pete Townshend.

Spotlight Musical Theatre Group in Beccles, Suffolk performed this version of Quadrophenia in 2017, at the Public Hall in Smallgate, Beccles.
