Quadrophenia - Discography
By Ed Hanel

The Discography section for this site has finally been updated after nearly more than 7 months of it basically being idle due to the fact that other parts of the site seemed to be more of an interest to me at the time.

However patience is a virtue and my friend Ed Hanel has let me use text from his fantastic book
"The Who - The Illustrated Discography".

Most Who fans and avid collectors will remember when this book was first released and quickly became an invaluable resource to us all. I have kept several copies of this book around the house for reference over the years and still to this day use it constantly.

There will be more updates to this section within a week with scans of picture sleeves, singles and other additions.

Enjoy,

Tracks 1 through 9 and 1 5 are from the same masters used for the 1973 Quadrophenia Album. These tracks were remixed under Entwistie's direction for the soundtrack. Record sleeves have stills from the movie. THis is particularly known to Who collectors for one scene which has the 'A Quick One/The Who Sell Out' double album on the set. It takes place in the 60's but the double LP wasn't pressed until 1974. Equally mysterious is the fact the the American reissue album is used instead of the British and when Jimmy plays a track apparently from the album he gets 'My Generation', which is not on this reissue.
