The Concert File Notes:

The tour was promoted by RTL (Radio Tele-Luxemberg), the leading European promotion agency which had previously presented The Who at the Fete De L'Humanit' in Paris in September 1972. For the French tour, the quadrophonic PA system was curtailed. This had only been used for the tape effects and had necessitated two additional speaker columns at the back of the hall.

This had provoked many complaints from the audience about their vision being blocked. Consequently 'I Am The Sea' and a tape link of storm sounds that was used between 'Dr. Jimmy' and 'Love Reign O'er Me' were dropped. The support act for the French dates was John Keene (previously known as 'Speedy') of Thunderclap Newman fame.
